The Creative Soul
Interior Architect & Senior Barista
Originally from Paris, Mona moved to Berlin after falling in love with the city during an internship. With a background in interior architecture, graphic design and furniture design, she is the aesthetic soul of Aën. Having spent the last three years in specialty coffee, she’s developed a sharp eye (and palate) for the perfect brew. For her, Aën is the natural evolution of her passions: a place where coffee meets design, music, and events. So, Mona ensures the space has a soul and a story (and leaves the "fun" Excel formulas to Naël)
The Operational Mind
Engineer & Ops Manager
Originally from the north of France, Naël arrived in Berlin with his bikes, a passion for strong espresso, and a slight obsession with organization. Between financial modeling and supply chain management, he makes sure everything runs smoothly at Aën so that Mona can focus on design. In short: he keeps his feet on the ground so the project can take off.
He’ll still have to learn how to do latte art, though.
